MY EQUIPMENT
I am using a Yaesu FT-991a with a MFJ-1778 G5RV Dipole with a MFJ-939 Tuner. I have a Yaesu FT-891 for portable with a Chameleon Emcomm II v2 EFHW. I also have several Baofeng HT's and a Yaesu FT-3DR. I have a Yaesu FT857 in my vehicle. I ususually operate on 80m, 40m, and 20m, but I get on most all of them some. I usually operate SSB or FT8. I am active in my local club. Walker County ARES in Jasper, AL. I am the Net Control once a month on our weekly Net. We are on echolink under W4WCA-R or node 993864

ABOUT ME
The name here is Mike and I passed my Technician license on February 13th and now passed my General on March 13th, 2021. I live in Jasper, Alabama and enjoy learning about all things Ham Radio. I have always been into electronics since I was a kid. Worked in telecom for 20yrs+ and got tired of being gone away from family so now I paint. I mostly monitor the local repeater here in Jasper that is on 147.390 +0.6 Mhz 110.9 Hz. We have a ARES net on Thursday nights at 8pm cst so come join us and say hey afterwards. I am a trained SKYWARN Storm Spotter. I am a weather enthusiest... Love weather. I like doing POTA every chance I get. I am on FT8 and get on SSB. I check in to lots of HF Nets and several VHF nets in my state of Alabama.
